About Glyde Rangers GFC

Glyde Rangers GFC were first registered to the Louth County Board in 1926 and down through the years since have had their fair share of success on the playing field winning many titles at Junior level.

However, their finest hour was in 1934 when they won the clubs one and only Senior Football Championship in 1934 beating Wolfe Tones of Drogheda in the final. There were many famous names on that team, with the names on many of these players still continuing in the folklore of the club. To name but a few; Coyle, Kelly, Taffee, Callan, Cluskey and Daly would have been playing for Louth in those years and were crucial players on that team.
